Sri (Varun Sandesh) is an award winning entrepreneur and shy person who can't mingle with women. Sri's organization is surrounded with losses and in order to save his company, Sri promises to marry KK's (Ahuti Prasad) daughter. All of a sudden, Neeru (Hari Priya) enters into Sri's life and things take a turn from there. How is Neeru related to Sri? Whom will Sri marry? Anjali or Neeru? If you are really interested to know the answers, you can watch 'Abbayi Class Ammayi Mass' movie.
Analysis:
If 'Yemaindi Ee Vela' was considered as a hit, Varun Sandesh has scored six consecutive flops after that movie. Sacrificing logic for the sake of run time is not a new thing in Telugu films these days and debutant director Koneti Srinu did the same in 'Ammayi Class Abbayi Mass'. The story of this film has been inspired by a Hollywood movie 'Pretty Woman' and the director made no effort to suit the nativity. Only relief in this unrealistic story is heroine Hari Priya and Sekhar Chandra's music. Apart from that, everything has made the movie look very shabby.
Even Kasi Vishwanath's character has been lifted from Bollywood hit movie 'Kahaani' and as mentioned earlier, not much care was taken. Though Srinivas Reddy's comedy was good, poor dialogues and dragged scenes will definitely irritate the audience and the climax part will test the patience of the audience. Prostitute falling for a normal guy was shown in many Telugu films in the past but everything looked very artificial in 'Abbayi Class Ammayi Mass'. Varun Sandesh should serious start selecting good scripts and films like this will only add misery to his career. This is definitely one of the forgettable films in Varun Sandesh's career.
Technical Aspects:
Music and background score by Sekhar Chandra are good. Sai Sreeram's cinematography is just ok and editing could have been much better. Dialogues are normal and nothing much to mention about directorial skills of Koneti Srinu and the production values of Lakshman Cine Visions banner.
Performances:
What is the difference between Varun Sandesh in 'Happy Days' and in 'Abbayi Class Ammayi Mass'? Nothing. Though he fitted for the shy guy role, Varun needs to improve his acting skills. Hari Priya is the major asset for this film. She has excelled in the prostitute role and it will be a visual feast for the mass audience to watch her on the big screen. Srinivasa Reddy was good and others have done their job.
Positives: Hari Priya
Negatives:
Direction
Dialogues
Climax
Dragged scenes
Cinihungama Punch: Abbayi Class Ammayi Mass is neither class nor mass.Watch it at your own risk.
